Fellow Membership Nominations due May 1

ASQ Fellows must be nominated by their section, forum/division, a country councilor, or the elected chair or president of a country unit recognized by the ASQ board of directors.

A Fellow member must first be a Senior member for at least the past five calendar years prior to the submission.

The Process to become a fellow is contained on the ASQ National Website page Fellow Membership, a short summary follows:

  1. In general, the Fellow candidate must be an ASQ member for 15-years, a senior member for 5 years and attained distinction in quality-related disciplines.
  2. The candidate must meet the minimum scoring each of the six proficiency areas of technical competence, occupational responsibility, publications, ASQ activities, professional organizations other than ASQ, and teaching or consulting.
  3. Finally the candidate must score a total of 28 points minimum across all six proficiency areas.

Fellow nominations must be received by MAY 1st.  If you plan on submitting this year please let the Section Leadership Committee know as we will need to review and endorse the nomination.  If you are looking to the future, there is no better time to start collecting the information needed for next year’s nomination.
