Training

The Indianapolis Section of the American Society for Quality is pleased to provide training solutions to our membership within the greater Indianapolis Area.

Training is arranged on an as-needed basis, where the section calls upon individuals with certifications in the areas of training, or significant work experience in the particular field, to lead/deliver targeted training to members.

In the past, these trainings have ranged from recertification/test prep-courses (CQA, CQE, CSQE, etc) to evening seminars.

In order to make the training feasible, we have a minimum (5 person) class size.

Please contact Jesse Berman if you are have a particular interest, or would like to provide training.

Also, the website will be updated when trainings have been scheduled, so that anyone can sign up for the trainings.

If you have a need for trainings other than those listed, and have a minimum group size of more than 5 people, we have instructors available in the local area to support more.  Contact Jesse Berman to make arrangements (or comment on this blog entry and it will filter through to him).  Typical classes include :

Certified Quality Engineer prep course

Summary:

This is the recommended refresher course for persons planning to take the CQE certification examination.

Dates:

We did not meet Minimum Class Size for this course in 2009, we are rescheduling to offer again in 2010.

Instructors:

Jeff Lopez (CQM, CQE & CQA ), Laura Scheppers

Jeff is experienced in machining, injection molding, stamping and assembly. Jeff has 22 years experience in Quality Assurance. Jeff has a BS Degree, in Industrial Management and an AS Degree, in Quality Technology.

Laura is a Senior Statistician with Eli Lilly and Company.

Certified Software Quality Engineer prep course

Summary:

Certified Quality Technician prep course

Summary:

This is the recommended refresher course for persons planning to take the CQT certification examination.

Dates:

Cancelled for Q1 2010.

Instructor:

Bill Solchik (CQM, CQE, CQA, CQT, CRE, CMI, CQIA)

Bill is a senior member of the Society, is certified as both Mechanical Inspector and Quality Technician, and has over 15 years experience in quality with Ingersoll-Rand, McDonnell-Douglas and NL Industries.  He is presently a Supplier Quality Auditor for Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis.
