Event Title: Beyond 5S

Event Description:
5s is a simple but highly effective set of techniques that remove waste from your work environment through better workplace organization, visual communication, and general cleanliness. This fun session will take a different view of the 5 pillars of 5s as defined as sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain. This topic will focus on sustaining results through Standardizing and Visual Management. Sustaining 5S does result in cost savings.

Program Speaker:
Leigh Ann Schildmeier is currently the Operational Excellence Leader at Nice-Pak in Mooresville. She also is the president and founder of the consulting firm, Park Avenue Solutions. She has extensive experience in Lean practices, and a Six Sigma Black Belt, she has worked for over 15 years in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.

Leigh Ann has an engineering degree from Purdue University and MBA from Anderson University. She is a certified Lean Practitioner and Six Sigma Black Belt.

Leigh Ann has remained active in her hometown of Anderson by serving on the Advisory Board for Purdue Anderson College of Technology and the AHS D26 Career Center’s Manufacturing Advisory Board. She currently serves as the Chair for the ASQ Section 0904 East Central Indiana as well as ASQ Deputy Regional Director. Leigh Ann is married with a step-child and two Beagles in Fishers. She is a foodie, avid golfer, car enthusiast, Reds Baseball fan, and a loyal Purdue Boilermaker.
